Harry potter a forbidden forest experience is here

Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience is happening in Cheshire, England. You’ll be immersed in the Hogwarts forest and have encounters with favorite characters and creatures from the series, all while getting “spell-bound” in various interactive ways.

What is the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience?

Attend the official Wizarding World Theme: The Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience, held at Arley Hall and Gardens in Cheshire. It’s a chance for muggles, witches, and wizards of all houses to walk through the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts at night time, getting to meet some of your favorite magical creatures and characters from the Harry Potter series.

Not only that, there’s a chance to cast spells, drink butterbeer and even visit Hogsmeade Village! Harry couldn’t get there legally in Prisoner of Azkaban, but you can.

Location of harry potter a forbidden forest experience

The Forbidden Forest Experience at Arley Hall & Gardens is not available at any other venues across the UK this year. We will have to wait until next year to see whether or not there will be other venues open.

The 4-5 hour drive from London to Cheshire is worth it!

All the reasons that will get you excited to visit harry potter a forbidden forest experience!!

The Lights

When I walked into the forest, I was worried it would be too dark to see anything. But the lighting was perfect! The whole area was lit up with magical colors and incredible effects. It felt like I had stepped through a portal into another world where the magic resides.

Wander into the Forbidden Forest and you may hear the Harry Potter soundtrack or snippets from your favorite characters while encountering strange grunts and wheezes of the magical creatures that live in this forest.

Meet Harry Potter magical creatures

Hagrid, The groundskeeper, is there in the forest reminding your first time in the forest. You may also meet his dog, Fang. Hedwig, Grawp (who stinks!), and Aragog (and some of his children) also live in the forest. Be sure to watch out for Pygmy Puffs, Pixies, Owls, and dogs while exploring!

Although Harry, Ron, and Hermione won’t be there, you may spot the Ford Anglia they drove to Hogwarts, thanks to the Whomping Willow.

I really liked the inclusion of Fantastic Beast’s characters here like the Nifflers in their burrow. Keep your shiny jewelry out of sight from them. As you walk through the attraction, watch out for Pickett and his family of Bowtruckles!

Bow to Buckbeak!

Finally, your chance to know how close you are to the magical creatures.

All you have to do is step up to the plate, bow down to this magical hippogriff, and see if you can get him on your side. But Buckbeak will need no introduction to Harry Potter fans. So, if you aren’t aware, you must gain the respect of a hippogriff by bowing to them first and waiting for them to bow back.

Cast your own Patronus!

 “Expecto Patronum!”

If you’ve ever wanted to be part of Dumbledore’s Army in the Room of Requirement, now’s your chance! You’ll have to get yourself together though. Go find a wand, take a big breath and then say “Expecto Patronum!” Your Patronus will appear before your very eyes. It really is like magic! Don’t worry fellow wizards and witches, if you’ve forgotten your wand! You can borrow a wand here, so you won’t miss the experience.

When you leave the Forbidden Forest, you’ll stand on a bridge over a lake to enjoy the spectacular finale. I won’t spoil it but you will barely escape from death eater.

Hogsmeade village at the end!

It’s not over just yet.

When you visit you’ll enter a magical village inspired by Hogsmeade and there will be lots of huts selling spell-binding treats. There is something for everyone: hot food huts selling bangers and mash, huge Yorkshire puddings, fish and chips, burgers, etc.

Then, you’ll see stands selling hot chocolate, coffee, tea, pumpkin doughnuts, cakes, and sweets. If you’re looking for something extra sweet, you can find roasted marshmallows and Butterbeer too. Adults can enjoy Harry Potter-inspired cocktails, mulled wine, and beer as well as other alcoholic drinks.
